Chez Max has carved out a substantial niche for itself in recent years, offering a short menu of French classics combined with smart, prompt service and affordable prices. A relatively new and attractive addition to the city’s eating scene, Farmer Browns is a little off the beaten track and very much a neighbourhood spot, but it lies close to the Aviva Stadium and to the several of my listed hotels. Funky, bustling Neon is one of the brightest and best eateries along Camden Street, which in recent years has come to heave with cafés, bars and restaurants of every hue. Wuff sits confidently on its corner on otherwise gritty Benburb Street.
